Two very different sets of houses
Canyon Country covers more ground than anywhere else we go, and it is really two places at once. There is the tract housing along the Soledad Canyon corridor, and then there are the properties up the side canyons on much larger lots, set well back from the road.
That layout is the plumbing difference. A house on a canyon lot often sits at the end of a long private service line between the meter and the building — which is where pressure gets lost, and which is expensive ground to hunt a leak in if nobody knows where the line runs. Knowing that before there is a problem is worth more here than in most of the valley.
